Discover The Range

Each concrete finish has a different purpose and offers its own unique characteristics and benefits. We can advise what we think may be the best finish, but there are a lot of different factors to look at when choosing a finish.

Broom Finish

A soft broom or hard broom finish is normally applied to areas that require a non-slip surface. These areas could be stairs, walkways, driveways, or anywhere that has a steep incline. A broom finish provides a slip-resistant surface that is ideal for areas that are subject to a lot of foot and vehicle traffic.

This finish is an ideal option if you are looking for a low cost non slip result without exposing your concrete.

Floating/Trowel Finish

A floating or troweled finish can be varied by how intensely it is used, which can create a smooth, fine concrete surface. This finish is often applied on shed floors, patios and driveways.

This finish is ideal if you are looking for a smooth- to very smooth finish that is consistent.

Swirl Finish

A swirl finish is a much more detailed finish, much like a broom finish, the texture depth will vary depending on how much roughness is required.

This finish is ideal if you are looking for an anti-slip surface but is decorative as well.

Exposed Finish

An exposed finish is when the stones of the aggregate can be seen. This finish results in very good traction for driveways and steep inclines as well. There are many different options of pebbles and stones to choose from to create you desired look.

This finish is ideal if you are looking for a very attractive surface finish with good traction. We also recommend looking into sealing your concrete if you opt for the exposed to extend the durability and life of your concrete. Sealing is something we offer too which you can find more information on below.

Acid Washing & Sealing

Acid Wash & Sealing is a process that is done any time after 1 month of concrete being placed. In this process, the acid wash is used to remove a slight top layer of concrete to get rid of any build up and to open up the poures, ready for sealing. Sealer is then applied and acts as a barrier between the concrete and natural elements.

This process is highly recommended if you want to add long lasting durability and enhance the colour of your concrete. Sealing concrete prevents mould growth, allows for low maintenance cleaning, as well as waterproofing your concrete.
